Job Description:

1. Key Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SAP Web Dynpro Java applications on SAP NetWeaver platform.
• Enhance and support existing WDJ applications, troubleshooting performance and UI issues.
• Migrate Web Dynpro Java applications to newer SAP UI technologies like SAP Fiori/UI5 or SAP Business Client.
• Integrate SAP Web Dynpro applications with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA backend systems.
• Optimize performance of existing WDJ applications by improving UI components and backend integration.
• Work on NetWeaver Java Application Server (AS Java) to deploy and manage applications.
• Develop Web Services and OData services for integrating with SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Collaborate with SAP ABAP developers for backend logic integration.
• Ensure compliance with SAP security standards and UI best practices.
• Train and support end-users in using Web Dynpro applications.

1. Required Skills & Technologies
   SAP Web Dynpro Java Core Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP Web Dynpro for Java Framework
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver AS Java (Application Server Java)
• Java EE (Enterprise Edition) for business logic development
• JSP, Servlets, and JavaBeans for UI development
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript for UI enhancements

SAP Integration & Backend Technologies

• Experience with SAP NetWeaver Portal (if using Web Dynpro with SAP Portal)
• Knowledge of SAP RFC (Remote Function Calls) and BAPIs for backend communication
• Understanding of SAP Business Workflow and Business Rules Framework (BRF+)
• Experience with SAP Enterprise Services / OData

Migration & Modernization (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of SAP Fiori / SAP UI5 for migrating Web Dynpro applications
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Understanding of SAP Cloud Connector for hybrid deployment
• Experience with ABAP Web Dynpro

1. Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of SAP Web Dynpro Java development experience
• Experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments
• Hands-on experience with SAP NetWeaver 7.x Java stack
• Experience in Web Dynpro application lifecycle management
• Prior experience in Web Dynpro Java to SAP Fiori migration

1. Tools & Platforms Used

• SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS)
• SAP NetWeaver AS Java
• SAP NetWeaver Portal (if applicable)
• Eclipse IDE with Java EE plugins
