Position: Android Audio Middleware Lead (TK612SI RM 3894)

Job Description:
We are looking for Android Automotive Audio Middleware Lead to design, develop the solutions for the next generation SDV, eCockpit and Infotainment systems.
On Joining our team, you will be working on the latest versions of Android Automotive Middleware solutions for Audio and Sensors integration, Algorithms and Inter-domain Communication in the context of an SDV.

Minimum Qualification: Minimum is Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Job Description:

• Hands-on experience with Android Audio Frameworks – AudioFlinger, AudioEffects, Audio HAL.
• Audio tuning tool development experience.
• Experience working on audio frameworks in heterogenous environments: ARM+DSP.
• Experience with audio pre/post processing algorithm integration in audio frameworks.
• Experience in Qualcomm’s AudioReach framework.
• Experience in DSP Concept’s AudioWeaver integration.
• Expert in audio basics like samplerate, bitwidth, channels and audio formats.
• Hands-on experience with AOSP build environment.
• Strong design and implementation skills.
• Mentoring skills to assist junior team members.
• Good analytical, problem solving and logical thinking skills.
• Develop and maintain software design documents, specifications, and test plans.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Responsible for defining KPI’s for the components and ensure they are achieved.
• Guide development team for any roadblocks/support needed and triage defects.

Skills & Requirements:

• 6+ Years of experience in Audio development and Integration.
• Minimum 5+ Years of Platform/Middleware Development in Automotive domain
• Good understanding of Audio frameworks
• Good understanding of Android Build System (Ninja Soong, Android.bp, Android.mk)
• Good hands on exp C/C++
• Experience with the software life-cycle methodologies. Collaborate within an agile cross-functional team environment.

Good to have skills:

• A2B driver/config experience to bring-up microphones/speakers/sensors in Android environment.
• Android Sensor HAL integration and/or Sensor bring-up in Android environment.
• CAN signal handling in Android environments.
• Understanding of QNX + Android Boot Process, QNX Hypervisor, Virtual Machine
• Knowledge of deciphering bug reports, tombstones etc.
• Knowledge of IPC and communication based on Binder
