Position: Durability Attribute Manager (TT38ST RM 3953)
About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Durability Attribute Manager with 3–8 years of experience in automotive durability engineering to lead durability attribute development, validation, and closure across vehicle programs. The role involves managing durability targets, driving validation plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring product robustness throughout the lifecycle.
This position requires strong technical expertise in durability testing, CAE correlation, and program-level attribute ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the Durability Attribute across vehicle development programs
- Define durability targets, performance metrics, and validation criteria
- Develop and execute durability validation plans (simulation + physical testing)
- Lead durability risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Analyze CAE and physical test data to identify failure modes and root causes
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Design, CAE, Testing, NVH, Structural, and Manufacturing teams
- Ensure timely closure of durability issues before design freeze and SOP
- Prepare durability status reports and present updates to leadership
- Support field issue analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in automotive durability engineering
- Strong understanding of fatigue analysis, stress analysis, load cycles, and structural integrity
- Experience with CAE tools (Ansys, HyperWorks, Nastran, Abaqus, Simcenter, etc.)
- Knowledge of durability test methods (road load data acquisition, shaker tests, accelerated life testing)
- Experience in vehicle-level durability attribute management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Structural Engineering
- Experience in chassis, BIW, powertrain, or full vehicle durability
- Exposure to global vehicle development processes
- Knowledge of durability standards and validation methodologies
