The Role:
The Senior SFCC Developer will be part of the Enterprise eCommerce team, focusing on architecture, development, and optimization of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in headless commerce implementations, third-party integrations, and scalable backend solutions.
As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality commerce solutions across storefront, checkout, order lifecycle, and system integrations.

Your Contribution:
Success in this role requires strong technical ownership, architectural thinking, and hands-on delivery experience. In this role, you will:
● Design and develop scalable solutions on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Headless architecture)
● Implement and support headless commerce solutions using APIs (OCAPI, SCAPI)
● Develop and maintain integrations with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, and other third-party systems
● Build and enhance REST-based services and middleware integrations
● Lead backend development for order lifecycle, promotions, catalog, pricing, and checkout flows
● Implement custom cartridges, controllers, hooks, and job frameworks
● Optimize performance across storefront and API layers
● Collaborate with frontend developers to enable seamless headless storefront integrations
● Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in security, performance, and maintainability
● Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities
● Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
● Work closely with Product Owners, QA, Architects, and Integration teams to ensure end-to-end delivery

Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following skills and experience:
● 5–6+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud development
● Strong understanding of SFCC architecture, Business Manager, and order lifecycle management
● Proven experience in headless commerce implementations
● Hands-on experience with OCAPI, SCAPI, and custom API development
● Strong experience integrating third-party systems (OMS, ERP, payment gateways, fraud tools, tax engines, shipping providers)
● Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), ISML, controllers, and cartridge architecture
● Experience working with REST APIs and middleware integrations
● Strong understanding of checkout customization and promotions engine
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
● Familiarity with cloud-based deployment models and API-first architecture
● Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
● Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
● Ability to work independently and take technical ownership of modules

Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with multi-site, multi-currency, and global commerce implementations
● Exposure to performance monitoring tools and logging frameworks
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
● Knowledge of SQL and relational databases

Education:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
