Position: System Requirements Engineer (TT68ST RM 4068)

About the Role

We are expanding our Systems Engineering team to support a major upcoming automotive IVI/CDC program. We are looking for skilled Requirements Engineers who can drive end-to-end system requirement definition, feature clarification, technical alignment with customers, and cross domain integration for next gen infotainment and connected vehicle platforms.

You will work closely with OEMs, feature owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure high quality, complete, and traceable system requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Engineering

  • Analyze customer specifications, feature backlog, and change requests to derive detailed system-level requirements for IVI/CDC platforms.
  • Draft, review, and maintain system requirements in DOORS .
  • Task tracking experience in ALM.
  • Perform requirement decomposition, clarification, and feasibility assessment with architects and feature teams.
  • Ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous, testable, and traceable across system, software, and validation layers.

System Feature Ownership

  • Act as a domain expert for features such as:
    o Multimedia (Audio/Video, Media Playback)
    o Connectivity (BT/WiFi/Ethernet/ Projection – CarPlay/AA)
    o Navigation & HMI workflows
    o Telematics, OTA, Diagnostics
    o Vehicle Interfaces (CAN, LIN, SOME/IP, UDS)
  • Participate in system design discussions, technical reviews, and change impact analysis.

Stakeholder Management

  • Lead requirement discussions with OEMs and Tier-1 partners.
  • Support customer workshops, feature grooming sessions, and technical clarification meetings.
  • Collaborate with architects, software teams, integration, and validation teams for alignment.

Traceability & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain requirement traceability across design, test cases, and defects.
  • Support ASPICE level 2/3 processes including SYS.2, SYS.3, SYS.4, and SYS.5.
  • Contribute to quality audits, compliance checks, and internal process improvements.

Change & Defect Management

  • Perform impact assessment for CRs and defect tickets.
  • Update requirements based on system impacts and maintain version history.
  • Support triage discussions and provide system-level insights.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in automotive domain – IVI, Connected Car, Telematics, or similar.
  • Strong background in system requirement drafting, feature clarification, traceability, and configuration management.
  • Excellent understanding of automotive technologies:
    o CAN, LIN, SOME/IP
    o UDS/OBD diagnostics
    o Bluetooth/WiFi/Ethernet/ Projection protocols
    o Multimedia frameworks
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and interfaces across HW/SW/Vehicle networks.
  • Experience with ALM tools like DOORS
  • Knowledge of ASPICE SYS.1/SYS.2/SYS.3 and V model development processes.
  • Good communication and stakeholder handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Android Automotive OS / Linux based IVI systems.
  • Knowledge of System Architecture of IVI/CDC products.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, HARA, Functional Safety (ISO 26262) fundamentals.
  • Ability to work with global customers in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience in system integration or validation is a plus.
