Position: Senior Automotive Exterior Integration Architect (FAR) (TT57ST RM 4201)

Scope of Role:
VA Senior Concepture is responsible for FAR (rear face including glass (Bumper assy, taillamp, Foglamp, Spoiler, Fender, Finishers, hood, wheel arch, cladding etc.) product integration, development according to standards and guidelines. Translate defined product design performance criteria in CAD data & specifications

Area of Responsibility:
The architect is responsible for the integration of all components in their respective zone and how they mount to the BIW / painted structure. Should be able to finalize integration with specified requirement and publish the report to get approved in integration meeting.

• Coordinate the activities of different departments of the VE contributing to proper geometry of the vehicle. Part Gauge conformity.
• Contributing/Analysing on geometrical compliancy for BIW / Part.
• Preparation of PDJ for exterior/Interior and review with all stake holders.
• Geometry syntheses at the milestones.
• Coordinating the resolution of the geometrical quality problems of the product/process origin
• Validating the product/process changes in quality appearance suggested during the vehicle life when the changes affect the geometry
• Creating and defining the geometry monitoring plan
• Ensuring the contents of all the geometrical reference files
• Feasibility Check for modularity and uses of existing components
• Define the interface & allocated volumes
• Check the RCC/RTC during digital phase (OEM checklist to clear the digital phase)
• Adequate knowledge of plastic moulding and design process, DFMEA, DVP, DFA/DFM.
• Knowledge of GD&T, component drawings, Standards and Guidelines etc.
• Ensuring that the all project deliverables is met at given time with Dashboard document.
• Identifying all risks of the programme and make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines.

Knowledge / Experience Essential:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of automotive product engineering experience required specifically in automotive Exterior/interior trim integration
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 / V6, PLM (TCE)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good Knowledge of and/or training in:
  o Integration knowledge of exterior/Interior trim such
  o Min 3 years of experience in GD&T knowledge and gauge/fixture concepts
  o Should be possess good experience in part, vehicle interface and packaging conditions.
  o Global Exterior trim regulations (Knowhow of Indian standards will be an added advantage)
  o Capable of using Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Working knowledge of project delivery processes.
• Working experience with global OEM cross functional teams will be an added advantage.
• Should be good Team player with positive attitude & good approach.
