Position: Crash & Safety CAE Analyst – Automotive Seating (TT410ST RM 4503)

Note: This position is intended for a CAE Analyst with crash and safety assessment expertise. Profiles focused primarily on FE modeling, meshing, or preprocessing activities will not be considered

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Crash & Safety CAE Analyst with hands-on experience in automotive seating systems. The candidate will be responsible for performing crash and safety analyses, evaluating simulation results, ensuring compliance with global safety regulations, and supporting design improvements to meet performance and safety targets

Education : B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform crash and safety simulations for automotive seating components and systems.
  • Evaluate seat structures against FMVSS, ECE, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Analyze seat belt anchorage, rear impact, frontal impact, head restraint, and whiplash performance.
  • Interpret simulation results, identify failure modes, and recommend design improvements.
  • Support correlation of CAE results with physical test data.
  • Collaborate with design, testing, and cross-functional teams to achieve safety targets.
  • Participate in technical reviews and customer discussions related to seating safety performance.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in Crash & Safety CAE analysis.
  • Experience in automotive seating systems such as seat frame, seat back, cushion, recliner, tracks/sliders, and head restraints.
  • Strong proficiency in LS-DYNA. Knowledge of PAM-CRASH, Abaqus Explicit, or RADIOSS will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge of FMVSS 207, FMVSS 210, FMVSS 202a, ECE R14, ECE R17, and ECE R25.
  • Strong understanding of crashworthiness, occupant safety, structural behavior, and failure analysis.
  • Experience in result interpretation, correlation, and design recommendations

Preferred Skills

  • OEM or Tier-1 seating project experience.
  • Physical test correlation and validation experience.
  • Customer interaction and technical presentation skills.
