Position: Brake System Designer (TK68ST RM 4398)
Department : Vehicle Engineering & Design
Qualification : ME/MTech/BE/BTech/DME in Mechanical Engineering
Job Responsibility : Lead brake system design and development for a small L7e-category vehicle.
Vehicle Program Experience : Must have executed at least one complete vehicle program in brake system design and development for passenger cars.
System Design Experience : Hands-on experience in full-vehicle brake system architecture, component sizing and selection, and brake tube layouts.
Core Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of disc brakes, drum brakes, and parking brake systems.
Engineering Calculations and Studies : Experience in brake-force calculations, spring-stiffness calculations, and bearing-selection calculations.
Homologation Knowledge : Knowledge of homologation and certification requirements
Development and Validation Knowledge : Knowledge of automotive product development processes, including NPD, DFSS, DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFA. Basic knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and testing specifications.
Manufacturing Knowledge : Understanding of sheet-metal and casting manufacturing processes.
GD&T Knowledge : Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ISO GD&T standards for creating 2D drawings.
Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Industries/Companies : Piaggio India, Atul Auto, Tata Motors Passenger Cars, Mahindra MRV, Tata Technologies, and FEV India.
Behavioral Competencies : Dedication, innovation, ownership, quality orientation, and teamwork.
Software Skills : CATIA V5 and MS Office tools.
