Position: BSP – Test Engineer (TT36ST RM 4278)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Board Support Package (BSP) Test Engineer with strong expertise in infotainment systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BSP Testing, LTP-DDT (Linux), CTS, VTS (Android), SW Interface testing and a good understanding of key automotive domains such as CAN, UDS, vehicle functions, media, audio, and tuner technologies. You will own test case engineering, develop, and execute test cases for functional, stability, and stress testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality results. This role requires a deep understanding of both software and hardware aspects, the ability to quickly ramp up on the entire testing process, and a passion for automation and debugging

Job Responsibilities:

• Good exposure on Board Support Package (BSP) testing activities, ensuring the proper integration of hardware and software in the infotainment system
• Hands-on experience with LTP-DDT/Kselftest (Linux) and VTS (Android) to ensure the system operates as expected across various hardware platforms.
• Possess a solid understanding of Network switch rule testing, Network management and network diagnostics and S2R Testing.
• Exposure to Infotainment Systems and key domains like CAN, UDS, Vehicle Functions & Diagnostics, Media, Audio, and Tuner.
• Understand software architecture and hardware to ramp up quickly and take ownership of the complete end-to-end testing perspective, covering functional, stability, and stress tests.
• Write, execute, and maintain test cases based on architecture elements and requirements, ensuring all relevant scenarios (including exploratory tests) are covered after every release.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, designers, testers, and managers in multiple locations to ensure successful integration and testing across the system.
• Automate test cases using Python, enhancing testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
• Perform detailed analysis of reported problems, bugs, and defects. Track issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure that all issues are addressed effectively to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ensure KPIs defined by leadership are consistently achieved through rigorous testing and performance tracking.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  o 5+ years of experience in BSP Testing with hands-on expertise in LTP-DDT (Linux) and VTS (Android).
  o Experience in the development and execution of Software Integration Test (SWIT) and System Integration Test (SIT).
  o Ability to interpret hardware schematics and software design documents.
  o Hands-on experience in translating UML-based sequence diagrams into test cases for embedded systems.
  o Strong experience with embedded software and hardware debugging tools.
• Technical Expertise:
  o Experience with HiL/SiL/MiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, Model-in-the-Loop) testing.
  o Hands-on experience with Python for test automation and scripting.
  o Familiarity with requirement management tools such as DOORS and DNG.
  o Good understanding of CAN/LIN Communication Protocols and UDS Diagnostics Protocol.
• Additional Skills:
  o Experience working on projects practicing ASPICE standards and processes.
  o Exposure to Machine Learning concepts is a plus.
  o Strong problem-solving skills with a self-motivated, result-driven attitude.
  o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is a plus.
