Position : Database Engineer (Postgres & MongoDB Optimization) (MA RM 2825)

Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
● 3+ years of experience with SQL and PostgreSQL database management and normalization.
● Proficient in data modeling and database normalization principles.
● Proven expertise in data migration and database transformation, with hands-on experience migrating data from MongoDB to SQL-based databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
● Strong understanding of MongoDB and its data structures.
● Proficiency with SQL optimization, query writing, indexing, and tuning techniques.
● Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., SQLAlchemy, Django ORM) to support database interactions in an API environment.
● Knowledge of database performance tuning and best practices.
● Experience with database relationship documentation tools, such as ER diagrams and data dictionaries.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
● Experience with database management tools (e.g., pgAdmin, DBeaver).
● Familiarity with NoSQL to SQL migration tools and techniques.
● Excellent documentation skills for creating clear access documentation and database relationships.
● Ability to work independently, with excellent time-management and organizational skills
