Position: Project Engineer (CBS23FT RM 3892)

  1. Education Qualification: Graduate/ Diploma in Electronics/ Electrical/ Instrumentation.
  2. Experience: 2 – 3 years in Engineering/ Design/ Testing/ QA/ Production/ Customer Support, etc.
  3. Knowledge: –
    (a) Sound knowledge of basic electronics (Resistors, Capacitors, Diodes, Transistors, ICs, Microphones, Loudspeakers, Audio Amplifiers, Transistorized Circuits, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, Op-Amps, Logic Gates, Power Supplies, Relays, PCBs, etc).
    (b) Knowhow of various wires & cables, concepts of EMI/ EMC, various environmental tests/ Ingress protection/ Standards, Transformers, UPS, Inverters, Batteries, etc.
    (c) Knowledge of IP based LAN/ VAN networks, network switches, media converters, CAT6, Fiber Optic Cable, Routers, PLC programming, SCADA, etc.
    (d) Knowhow of Commercial Terms: Invoice, Delivery Challan, LR, GST, CGST, SGST, IGST, Bank Guarantees, Warranty Terms, Payments Terms, Transportation Terms, etc.
    (e) Conversant with Test Equipment’s – Digital Multi-Meter, CRO, DSO, Megger, Signal Generator, AC voltmeter/ dB meter, SPL meter, HV Tester, etc.
    (f) Awareness of ISO Processes/ Procedures, 5S, CA/PA activities, root cause analysis, etc.
  4. Computer Proficiency: MS Word, Excel, Auto-Cad (2D/ 3D), e-mail, Outlook, Power Point, C/ C++, Java, SQL, etc
  5. Language: Proficiency in verbal & written communication in English.
  6. Job Profile: –
    (a) Understanding of Customer requirements & translating it into documents like – Cabling Schematics, Block Schematic Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, Technical Specifications, etc.
    (b) Broadcasting of Customers requirements within organization through entry in Tally/ Inventory Management System/ SAP & Internal Orders.
    (c) Preparation of Bill of Materials, Test Procedures, Type Test Plan, etc. Undertaking Type Testing at NABL Labs.
    (d) Preparation of Quality Assurance Plan in line with Customer requirements.
    (e) Preparation of wiring diagrams, assembly drawing.
    (f) Generate Bank Guarantee requests to Accounts & timely submission of BGs to customers.
    (g) Seeking approval from Customers for Drawings, Test Procedures, QAP, Type Test Plan, etc.
    (h) Overall tracking of Projects for timely delivery.
    (i) Interaction with internal departments – Design, Sales, Planning, Purchase, Stores, Production, Testing, QA to achieve timely delivery of Projects.
    (j) Preparation & forwarding of dispatch documents to customer. Raising Bills with documents as per PO
    Terms & Conditions.
    (k) Interaction with Customers for Factory Inspection, Site Receipt Inspection, getting Payments, BG returns, etc.
    (l) Preparation of As Built Drawings & releasing the same to TIC. Shall be good Technical writer.
    (m) Extending help to Customer Support Team/ Customer for installation, connectorization, commissioning of System.
    (n) Analysis of ‘Things Gone Wrong’ & taking C/ CA/ PA.
    (o) Timely reporting to Manager – Projects, Top management & Customer about progress of Projects, any hold Points, etc.
    (p) Shall have leadership qualities, good interpersonal relationships, smart & hard working.

    (s) Overall role is to understand the customer requirement, streamline project execution activity by coordinating with other departments like; Sales & Marketing, Purchase & Planning, Design & Development, Production & Testing, QA, Accounts, Customer Support, Top Management and Customer; resulting in meeting & exceeding customer expectation.
  7. Gist of Role: Shall be organization Face at Customer & Customers Face within Organization.
