Position: Senior Software Engineer -Cybersecurity (TT411ST RM 4061)

Overall responsibilities and duties:
The Cybersecurity Senior Engineer will be responsible for end‑to‑end cybersecurity validation of Automotive Infotainment and Cockpit Electronics products. This includes designing, executing, and maintaining security validation frameworks, tools, and test strategies to ensure robust protection of in‑vehicle systems against cyber threats.
The engineer will collaborate closely with system, software, and validation teams to ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity standards and OEM requirements

Qualifications:
o Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science/ Information Security, or related fields.

Experience:
o 4–11 years of experience in Automotive Cybersecurity, Embedded Security Validation, or related fields.
o Strong experience in Cybersecurity testing for infotainment, telematics, or vehicle ECUs.

Skills and competencies:
Must Have:
o Hands-on experience with Automotive Infotainment Systems or strong Automotive domain background.
o Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and attack surface evaluation.
o Experience in Linux/Ubuntu (e.g., Ubuntu 20.04) for security testing, scripting, and tool execution.
o Strong experience in Python for test automation, scripting security checks, and tool integration.
o Practical understanding of Automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO 21434, UNECE R155/R156).
o Experience with security testing frameworks, penetration testing tools, fuzzers, and logging systems.
o Understanding hardware test setups for system-level validations, including access to ECUs, buses, and interfaces.
o Hands-on use of Git/Gerrit/GitLab for version control and secure code management.
o Experience working with ALM tools for test planning, execution, and traceability.

Nice to have:
o Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
o Knowledge of Vector tools (CANoe, vTestStudio, VT System) / dSPACE systems for security validation.
o Experience in CAN, Ethernet, TCP/UDP, DoIP and other automotive communication protocols.
o Experience with serial communication, Ethernet tapping, packet analysis, and network diagnostics.
o Exposure to penetration testing techniques (fuzzing, port scanning, vulnerability exploitation).

Responsibilities:
o Develop, maintain, and enhance cybersecurity validation frameworks for Infotainment systems.
o Perform threat analysis, attack surface review, and security requirement validation.
o Create security validation test plans, test designs, flowcharts, and documentation.
o Implement high quality, secure, and maintainable Python scripts for automated security testing.
o Evaluate and validate security controls, secure boot, firewall, sandboxing, secure communication, and OTA mechanisms.
o Integrate security testing components into a fully functional, scalable cybersecurity validation ecosystem.
o Conduct and participate in peer reviews of scripts, test cases, and documentation.
o Generate and maintain security test reports, test evidence, and compliance documentation.
o Troubleshoot, debug, and analyze security issues across hardware, software, and network layers.
o Work closely with software, system, and cybersecurity architects to address findings and propose solutions.
o Ensure all testing aligns with OEM, industry standards, and regulatory cybersecurity requirements.
o Continuously evaluate new security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors relevant to Automotive Infotainment.
o Support continuous improvements and adoption of best security practices.
