Position: Technical Expert – Electrical Systems & LV Energy Management (TT150ST RM 4123)

Role Overview
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the electrical and digital experience of VinFast vehicles. As a senior technical expert, the successful candidate will directly influence energy efficiency, infotainment usability, NVH feature performance, and overall customer experience, playing a key role in defining the electrical and systems DNA of current and future vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expert in vehicle electrical systems, with a strong focus on low-voltage (LV) energy management and system optimisation.
  • Deep understanding of LV power consumption, sleep/wake strategies, quiescent current management, and optimisation of electrical loads to support efficiency and range—particularly critical for EVs.
  • Strong experience with infotainment and user-facing electrical systems, including usability, responsiveness, stability, and customer-perceived quality.
  • Proven systems engineering capability overseeing feature definition, implementation, and integration across multiple ECUs and domains.
  • Experience ensuring electrical systems fully support vehicle attributes, such as:
o Features (e.g. Active Noise Cancellation)
o Driving experience and usability including features
    o Thermal and efficiency objectives
  • Solid understanding of signal quality, latency, EMC/EMI considerations, and their impact on audio, infotainment, and comfort features.
  • Experience working closely with NVH teams to ensure ANC systems meet performance targets through correct electrical architecture, sensor placement, signal integrity, and calibration support.
  • Strong background in cross-domain integration involving Electrical, Software, NVH, Infotainment, Thermal, and Vehicle Architecture teams.
  • Ability to define, review, and enforce electrical system design rules, standards, and best practices across vehicle programs.
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex electrical and system-level issues under time-critical development conditions.
  • Strong track record of capturing lessons learned and translating them into standards, processes, and future electrical architectures.
  • Act as the technical authority for electrical systems and LV energy management across VinFast vehicle programs.
  • Lead and support optimisation of LV energy usage, ensuring electrical features deliver required functionality with minimal efficiency impact.
  • Provide expert oversight of infotainment and user-facing electrical systems, ensuring stability, usability, and premium customer experience.
  • Guide systems engineering activities for feature implementation, ensuring requirements are correctly cascaded, integrated, and validated.
  • Ensure electrical architectures and implementations fully support attribute needs, including NVH, driving experience, thermal performance, and perceived quality.
  • Lead and support resolution of complex electrical and cross-attribute issues, working closely with software, NVH, and integration teams.
  • Review and challenge electrical system concepts, architectures, and validation results to ensure robustness and long-term quality.
  • Define, review, and continuously improve electrical system standards, design rules, and development processes.
  • Lead technical reviews, investigations, and corrective action planning for electrical system topics.
  • Provide clear, authoritative technical input to senior leadership on electrical system risks, trade-offs, and strategic direction
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 15–20+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems within industry-leading OEMs or Tier-1 development environments.
  • Exceptional systems-level thinking with the ability to balance electrical performance, usability, efficiency, and attribute integration.
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct line management, operating effectively as a senior technical authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex electrical and systems topics into clear actions for diverse stakeholders.
  • Structured, analytical, and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment with significant technical accountability.
