Position: Vehicle Attribute Lead Engineer (TT38ST RM 3948)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Attribute Lead Engineer with 3–8 years of automotive engineering experience to lead the development, validation, and optimization of vehicle attributes including performance, comfort, safety, and quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, manage feature attributes, and ensure delivery of world-class automotive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and own vehicle attribute development activities (performance, NVH, comfort, thermal, safety, fuel economy, etc.)
- Define and track attribute targets from concept through validation and launch
- Analyze test data and simulation results to recommend design improvements
- Coordinate with systems, design, calibration, test & validation teams
- Develop test plans, review test results, and ensure attribute compliance
- Report progress, risks, and mitigation plans to program leadership
- Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and corrective action for attribute gaps
- Document technical requirements, test procedures, and validation reports
- Interface with OEMs and suppliers for attribute requirements and deliverables
Mandatory Skills & Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience in vehicle attribute engineering (Powertrain, Thermal, NVH, Safety, Fuel Economy, Comfort)
- Strong understanding of vehicle performance metrics and measurement methods
- Experience with vehicle testing & validation, data analysis, and simulation tools
- Ability to interpret attribute results and propose corrective actions
- Good knowledge of automotive product development lifecycle
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink, CAE tools, or vehicle dynamic simulation (e.g., AVL/GT-Suite)
- Exposure to electrified vehicles & their attribute evaluation
- Familiarity with ISO/SAE automotive standards for attributes
