Position: Vehicle Thermal & HVAC Attribute (TT38ST RM 3946)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Thermal & HVAC Attribute Engineer with 3–8 years of experience to join our automotive engineering team in Pune. You will be responsible for thermal system development, HVAC attribute management, and ensuring optimal vehicle thermal comfort and performance across various driving conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage thermal and HVAC performance attributes for vehicle models
- Develop and execute thermal test plans for HVAC systems and vehicle thermal comfort
- Perform thermal modeling, simulations and analysis (CFD, heat load analysis)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, powertrain, controls, calibration) to improve HVAC performance
- Support NVH, climate control and thermal comfort optimization
- Monitor and track HVAC performance metrics and customer feedback
- Provide troubleshooting support for thermal/ HVAC issues during testing and validation
- Review and validate design specifications related to HVAC and thermal systems
- Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis on thermal systems
- Prepare technical documentation and test reports
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in vehicle thermal systems or HVAC engineering
- Strong knowledge of thermal comfort attributes, heat load, airflow and temperature control
- Experience with thermal simulation tools (CFD, GT-Suite, Thermal Desktop or equivalent)
- Understanding of HVAC control logic and calibration
- Hands-on experience in vehicle testing and validation
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools
- Good understanding of vehicle packaging and integration constraints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
- Experience with thermal comfort standards (ASHRAE or equivalent)
- Exposure to electrified vehicle HVAC systems
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink for thermal modeling
