Position: Senior Modeller – Hydraulic Modelling (TXS80FT RM 3742)

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Modeller with expert-level proficiency in InfoWorks ICM (ICM) for wastewater, stormwater, and combined sewer overflow (CSO) modelling. The ideal candidate will lead complex drainage and flood modelling projects, mentor junior modellers, and deliver high-quality technical solutions for urban drainage, master planning, and SUDS/LID designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently build, calibrate, and run 1D/2D InfoWorks ICM models for stormwater, wastewater, and combined sewer systems.
  • Perform detailed CSO spill analysis, real-time control (RTC), overflow reduction strategies, and pollution load assessments.
  • Develop integrated catchment models including surface runoff, infiltration, exfiltration, and groundwater interactions.
  • Design and evaluate sustainable drainage solutions (SUDS, LID, blue-green infrastructure) using ICM.
  • Lead model verification, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling for climate change and urban growth.
  • Prepare technical reports, design basis memorandums, and client presentations.
  • Coordinate with GIS teams for data integration using ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro / QGIS (mandatory).
  • Mentor junior modellers and review their work for quality assurance.
  • Liaise with clients, municipalities, and regulatory bodies (e.g., PMC, PCMC, ULBs).

Essential Technical Skills

  • Expert user of InfoWorks ICM (v2023 or later) – mandatory high-level proficiency in 1D-2D coupled modelling, SQL querying, Ruby scripting, and ICM Exchange.
  • Advanced knowledge of CSO modelling, spill frequency/duration analysis, and EDC (Event Duration Curve) methods.
  • Proficient in InfoWorks CS, InfoSWMM, Mike Urban, or SWMM (any one additional).
  • Mandatory: Strong hands-on experience in ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro – spatial analysis, geoprocessing, model builder, data conversion (shapefile ↔ ICM).
  • Experience with InfoAsset Planner, InfoDrainage, or Civil 3D integration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Python or Ruby scripting for automation in ICM.
  • Knowledge of Indian design standards (CPHEEO, IRC, IS codes) and international guidelines (CIRIA, EA UK).

Qualifications

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • 6–12 years of relevant experience in hydraulic modelling, with at least 5 years exclusively on InfoWorks ICM.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale drainage master plans or flood mitigation projects in India.
