Position: BIW Upper Body Design Engineer (TT79ST RM 4141)
Statement of purpose:
Engineer is involved in the design and development of new product and providing design solutions as per client requirements. He is responsible for requirements study, feasibility check, creating concepts / layouts and 3D models, 2D Drawings
Experience and other qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / M.Tech / MS from a recognized university with a total experience of 7 to 9 years or more in upper Body Structure domain.
Key responsibilities:
- Create concept design / layouts / alternate designs / master section considering mfg/packging/assembly/performance for upper body structure system/components for inner/outer/quarter/D ring/roof area
- Should be proficient using Catia V5/V6 /PLM/Tce/Enovia/3D experience
- Experience in Spot weld point creation in PLM/Tce/Enovia/3D experience
- Knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFS
- Basic Product & Process knowledge for digital packaging & simulation study
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Generate 2D drawings and 3D annotation for components and assembly
- BOM Creation and Data management in PLM/ Tce/Enovia/3D experience
- Creation of technical documents as directed by TL’s
- Adherence to all quality parameters and process as required by organization as well as client requirements
- Prepare technical presentations for assigned tasks
- Communicate with peers / onsite team / customer on regular basis or as per project need
- Attend review meetings / conference calls with (peers / onsite team / customer) and provide the inputs for meeting as requested by TL / Module lead / Onsite coordinator
- Participate in knowledge sharing and training sessions
- Document the best practices, preferred work procedures and get it validated by team leader
- Ensure on time delivery with required quality level
- Timely update the work status to technical lead / customr / Onsite coordinator
- Participate in idea generation to improve productivity, processes
- Participate actively in acquisition of patents and publishing technical papers in their area of work
- Onsite support to client if required
