Position: Lead BIW Design Engineer (TT79ST RM 4236)

We have a F2F Drive on 18th July at Pune location.

Scope of Role
The Team Lead is responsible person with leadership skills to deliver the Commodity with defined Attributes, Cost, and Timing, by Management of Commodity, Process, Customers and all other stake holder & Cross functional team.

Qualification : • BE/B. Tech in Mechanical/Production/ Automotive Engineering

Area of Responsibility

• Proven expertise of Product Design and development , of BIW upper body Components/systems Like inner/outer/B/ Quarter / D ring from concept to launch
• Should be able to resolve PAT requirements for upper body in digital phase before tooling launch
• Experience to do styling feasibility and concern resolving with styling department
• Sound knowledge of joinery and manufacturing technique
• Well versed with Global and region-specific regulatory requirement
• Sound knowledge of interface aggregates functional/packaging /regulatory requirement
• Preparation of Component and system level time plan and RFQ with help of module lead
• Proven Experience in error free gateway deliveries
• Should be able to establish teamwork plan & define priority of work.
• Prior experience of status reporting of key indicators for the domain to management team
• Experience in working with cross functional team to achieve commodity deliverables
• Must have experience in Quality Control tools like GD&T DVA, DVP, DFMEA, PPIR.
• Ensure sub-system meets attribute requirements, Durability, Thermal, Weight, Cost etc.
• Should be able to Support vehicle launch and pre-production builds. ECN / ECR management.
• Need to support on Prototype part Delivery to confirm Assembly Function or Commodity Validation.
• Should be able to communicate effectively with cross functional teams across international locations.
• Hands of Experience on Catia V5/V6/Team Centre/Enovia/.3D Experience
• knowledge of Problem-solving Techniques, Root cause analysis in proto build and during testing phase in consultation with module lead
• Experience in Supplier management like APQP documents, Cost & timing Reviews will be preferred.
• Experience in OEM to lead commodity will be an added advantage.

Essential:

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5/V6, PLM (TCE),Enovia/3D experience
• Good all-round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one or two of upper body Project
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
• Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels,
• PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc Experience in OEM to lead commodity will be an added advantage
