Position: Linux Test Automation & CI/CD Engineer (Kernel & PCIe Validation) (BB25FT RM 4267)

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated Linux Test Automation & CI/CD Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for Linux kernel device drivers and associated user-space applications.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C/C++, excellent scripting abilities, and hands-on experience building automated validation frameworks, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and regression test suites for Linux-based products.
You will work closely with kernel developers, hardware engineers, and QA teams to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of PCIe device drivers and system software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated test frameworks for Linux kernel device drivers.
  • Develop functional, regression, stress, endurance, and performance test suites.
  • Validate PCIe device drivers and associated user-space libraries and applications.
  • Develop automated hardware bring-up and smoke tests.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for continuous build, testing, and deployment.
  • Automate kernel module installation, upgrade, removal, and compatibility testing.
  • Develop automation for firmware upgrades and hardware validation.
  • Execute long-duration reliability and stress testing.
  • Analyze kernel logs and identify software or hardware issues.
  • Work closely with development teams to reproduce, debug, and isolate defects.
  • Develop test reports and quality metrics.
  • Improve test coverage and automate repetitive validation activities.

Required Technical Skills
Programming

  • Strong C programming skills
  • Good knowledge of C++
  • Python (Mandatory)
  • Bash/Shell scripting
  • Git version control

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Linux software testing and automation.
  • Experience validating Linux kernel drivers or embedded Linux software.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline development.
  • Experience developing automated test frameworks in Python and Shell.
