Position: Android BSP (TK60SI RM 4151)

Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced Android BSP Engineer with 6+ years of expertise in Android Board Support Package (BSP) development for embedded systems platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Android framework, Linux kernel, device drivers, HAL, bootloader customization, and Android bring-up activities on Qualcomm, MediaTek, NXP, or similar chipsets.

The role involves working closely with hardware, middleware, and application teams to enable, customize, optimize, and debug Android-based embedded platforms for automotive or consumer devices.

Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Android BSP for embedded platforms.
• Perform Android bring-up on new hardware platforms.
• Work on Linux kernel customization and device driver development.
• Develop and integrate HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) components.
• Debug boot-up, performance, stability, and hardware interface issues.
• Work with Android framework and system services.
• Integrate peripherals such as display, audio, camera, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, CAN, Ethernet, and sensors.
• Optimize boot time, memory usage, and overall system performance.
• Support Android version upgrades and security patches.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, and application teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution during development and production phases.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Android BSP development.
• Good knowledge of Android architecture and AOSP.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel and embedded Linux systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Experience in device driver development and debugging.
• Knowledge of bootloader technologies such as U-Boot or LK.
• Experience with Android HAL and middleware integration.
• Familiarity with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong debugging skills using ADB, JTAG, logcat, dmesg, and trace tools.
• Experience with Qualcomm, NXP, MediaTek, TI, or similar SoCs.
• Understanding of IPC mechanisms, SELinux, and Android security.

Preferred Skills

• Automotive Android experience preferred.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet AVB, or automotive communication protocols.
• Exposure to performance optimization and power management.
• Familiarity with virtualization and hypervisor concepts is a plus.
