Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer (TT810ST RM 4319)

Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design, development and testing of electrical hardware based on the electrical architecture and the electrical requirements within a project

Required Training /Education : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Master’s preferred)

Required Experience : Senior: 8+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed above) in serial development. Automotive electronic (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Development of core and/or application specific electrical requirements for automotive electronics.
• Develop electrical hardware in compliance with Global Engineering Process (GEP).
• Verify electrical requirements at component and bench level testing.
• Support rest of the functional disciplines with all aspects related to electrical hardware.
  Senior
• Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong electrical technical competency
• Work assignments primarily involve senior/advanced level work and may mentor other electrical engineers.
• Lead the planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting of all electrical related activities for various projects
• Coordination of integration of core electrical components into an application specific electrical design

Role specific:

• Electrical Engineer (Design)
  o Requirements analysis, electrical architecture development, component research and circuit design.
  o In depth analysis, simulation, development of design documentation (ME/EE interface, HSIS, WCCA, DFMEA, Schematic)
  o Optimization of design for cost, manufacturability, testability and quality.
  o Understanding customer requirements and coming up with a detailed requirement document. You should proactively interact with overseas customers and understand the requirements of the tasks that need to be carried out.
  o Well-versed in schematic capture, PCB layout review and PCB designing (Optional, is an added advantage), also should be able to independently drive the resources working on PCB designs and able to address any technical challenges in the design.
  o Expert in preparing engineering documents like Test plan, Test report, preparing presentations to convey the technical details related to Project progress and generating ECO & ECR’s etc.
  o Expertise in generating EBOM’s with its variants, knowledge of different electronic/electrical components, its parameters and obsolescence management, cost reduction ideas and managing them in relevant Database, which needs awareness of working with PLM tools.
  o Working closely with cross-functional team to achieve assigned project/activity targets within limits of time, cost and quality.
  o Well-versed in board bring-up activities, testing and debugging boards received from counterparts or newly manufactured boards.
  o Understand the manufacturing issues and their requirements and contribute to improving the process.

Specialist Knowledge
Senior: Comprehensive

• Knowledge in electrical design, development and testing of automotive electronics.
• Comprehensive knowledge of analogue, digital, power, memory, integrated circuits and microcontroller hardware design and implementation techniques.
• Knowledge in electrical circuit test and troubleshooting methods.
• Knowledge in electrical product development process

Role specific:

• Electrical Engineer (Design)
  o Knowledge in electrical hardware design for automotive applications following automotive standards
  o Hands on experience in Analog, Digital, mixed signal circuit design, development, testing. Mainly into automotive digital circuit designing (in ADAS platform).
  o Good working knowledge on Microcontrollers and microprocessors-based system designing (Knowledge on FPGA’s is added advantage).
  o Good working experience in preparing/deriving circuit related analysis documents like WCCA, DFMEA and VAVE etc.
  o Experience in understanding EMC/EMI issues, debug and provide solutions.
  o Good working Knowledge in analog circuit simulations.
  o Very good at Schematic entry and PCB layout review and provide directions to layout engineer.
  o Should have good technical & working knowledge in highspeed interfaces – DDR3/4/5, CSI-II (FPD Link 3/4), Ethernet 100/1000T, PCI & PCI express (Optional, is an added advantage) etc.
  o Working knowledge in Communication protocols like I2C, SPI, USB, LIN and CAN/CAN-FD.
  o Should be able to carry out product testing for environmental and certification test standards.
  o Experienced in using common lab equipment’s like Precision DMM’s, High frequency DSO’s logic analysers and should have soldering knowledge on basic components like SMD resistors, capacitors etc.
  o Experience in Standard ISO26262 HW part would be added advantage.

• Working knowledge in structured engineering approach
• Working knowledge in development of reusable electrical hardware in automotive environment.
• Troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques

• Knowledge of electrical engineering tools
  o Electrical Circuit Simulators (Pspice, SiSo) LTSpice or Saber or equivalent.
  o Schematic/PCB Design Tools (Altium designer 23+)
  o Electrical Test Equipment (Digital Scopes, Logic Analysers, etc)
  o DFMEA – APIS IQRM 8
  o WCCA using Mathcad 15 or prime
  o FMEDA – Madini (optional, is added advantage)

o MS Project
